Genovese Coffee Aids BNG Landcare Network
Local coffee importers Genovese Coffee has supplied some 4000 hessian sacks to the Buloke and Nothern Grampians Landcare network. The sacks, which have avoided the landfill pit will be used by the network as weed and mulch mats, to pick up litter and to block rabbit burrows during fumigation. This valuable support represents impressive forsight from the coffee importers.

The Australian Government's 2010-11 Caring for Our Country Business Plan has been released.
$914,875 for Buloke and Northern Grampians Landcare
The Buloke and Northern Grampians Landcare Network has been successful in securing $914,875 in funding from the Australian Government’s Caring for Our Country Program. The funding was granted as part of the Rudd Government’s $403 million investment in environmental and sustainable farming projects across the nation. Victoria received $47.3 million for projects.
Extension to interim funding for Regional Landcare Facilitator positions
The six month interim funding for Regional Landcare Facilitator positions (announced in June 2009) has been extended to 30 April 2010. For further information contact your NRM Regional office
Farm Biosecurity Website Launched
The Farm Biosecurity website is part of the Farm Biosecurity campaign, a joint initiative of Animal Health Australia and Plant Health Australia managed, on behalf of members. The Farm Biosecurity website has a range of information on people, product and equipment movement as well as manuals and other materials. Visit www.farmbiosecurity.com.au
Woodlands and Wetlands Project in Full Swing
Landcare Network Kevin Spence reports that the Buloke and Northern Grampians Landcare Network Is busy rolling out its Australian Government Caring for Our Country project ‘Working on Woodlands and Wetlands in Buloke and Northern Grampians with Landcare and the Community’.
